EVANGELISM

At the mountain of the Lord Missions we share the word of God as commanded Matthew 28:19, which says “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit”.

This ministry seeks to present the word of God to the world and offer a better solution and support system through the pressures of life. Some individuals have not heard of the love of God and we must reach out to them for salvation and redemption from the bonds of the enemy.

In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved but whoever does not believe will be condemned. This ministry will evangelise to the world of the saving grace and love of Jesus.

BIBLICAL FAITH WALK

We aim to offer a place for individuals to connect with God through biblical teachings. Discipleship is the process of becoming a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, which includes mentorship, studying the Bible, and emulating Christ’s teachings. Jesus instructed in Matthew 28:20 that we “teach them to observe all that has been commanded”.

In Micah 4:2, “People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion; His word will go out from Jerusalem. These are the commands of our Lord and Saviour Jesus and the manual by which He lived on earth. He was full of the word that, when the enemy tempted Him, He was able to overcome (Luke 4:1-13).

This ministry will seek to explore and study the unadulterated word of God (Psalm 119:11-12) and espouse it in our daily walk with Him so that the bride remains prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom (Rev 19:7-9).

PRAYER

Prayer is a constant communion with our Holy God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is the medium through which we overcome the enemy. At the mountain of the Lord’s Missions our foundations are built on prayer and he word of God.

Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 5:16; admonishes that we rejoice always and pray without ceasing, giving thanks in all circumstances. His letter to the Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 18, submits that we pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. Jesus prayed to overcome and He wants us to pray in a like manner. This ministry, therefore, will pray continually and seek the face of God in all endeavours as we draw closer to the Lord.

MUSIC

Music is the heartbeat of the Father and is a central part of praise and worship to God. In John’s Revelations 15:3; they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are Your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! In heaven, the angels and the host of heaven sing and make melodies to God in praise and adoration.

Music is a means of communicating with God and nourishment for the soul. David in 1 Chronicles, after he had brought the ark of God, appointed Levites to minister in songs, to play harps and lyres, sound cymbals, to blow trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God, where the emblems of His manifestation were seen. As Christians, we are admonished to “Address one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart” (Ephesians 5:19).

This ministry will make melodies to our God, by writing biblical tunes, singing godly music and minister to souls that need redemption (1 Chronicles 16:23).  In Psalm 71:23; David says that, “my lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also which you have redeemed”. This is the focus of the music ministry as it liaises with the other ministries to show our love to the creator God through melodious, Bible-inspired music.

OUTREACH TO ORPHANAGES AND PRISONS

In the Bible, several passages emphasize the importance of caring for those in need, including those in prison and orphans. For instance, James 1:27 (NIV) states, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world”.

Additionally, Matthew 25:36 (NIV) reflects on the duty to visit those in prison: “I was in prison and you came to visit me.” This suggests a call to support and show compassion to individuals facing incarceration. Proverbs 14:31 (NIV) also highlights the divine perspective on aiding the less fortunate:”

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God”. These biblical references underscore the Christian duty to extend love, compassion, and assistance to those in prison and orphanages, emphasizing the importance of caring for the vulnerable and marginalized in society.

COUNSELLING

Christian spiritual guidance involves helping individuals grow in their faith by offering support, counselling, and direction. Counselling embodies how the shepherd fulfils his spiritual and social commitment to his flock.

In this ministry, experienced spiritual leaders would be available to provide guidance and counsel to life challenges, issues of faith, and family bouts among others, and help visitors find strength and direction in their faith. It offers to guide individuals to regain a sense of control, purpose, and hope from a relationship with God in their lives.

FOOD BANK/ SHELTER

This Ministry recognises the importance of addressing the physical needs of individuals and seeks to help these challenges in conjunction with the authorities. It also seeks to provide nutritious meals and a safe space for individuals and families who may be experiencing homelessness or economic hardship through food banks.

In addition to spiritual nourishment, the sanctuary would offer a place of rest for weary souls. Comfortable accommodations would allow individuals to rejuvenate both physically and mentally from everyday life challenges and weariness.
